We <strong>do not<\/strong> take a collection (money) during the service itself. All food and drinks are also free of charge. So you don&#8217;t need to bring any money to the service. Is that Christian?<\/div><\/a><\/h4><\/div><div id=\"collapse-1-2251\" aria-labelledby=\"faq_1-2251\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse\"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content post-content\"><p>We are an <strong>evangelical free church<\/strong> and essentially share the faith of all Christians in the world. As human beings, we are not capable of reaching God&#8217;s good standard on our own and being allowed to be together with him again here on earth and in eternity. This separates us from God, the source of all life, forever. This separation from life means death. So we need help to be with him again. The problem is that no one who is separated from God can &#8220;pay&#8221; for someone else. It would be like someone having millions in debt to a bank and someone else coming in to pay for that debt. But the other would be just as indebted. The bank would rightly say: Pay back your own debt before you stand up for someone else!<\/p>\n<p> <strong> Jesus came to overcome precisely this separation<\/strong>. As the only person who has lived entirely according to God&#8217;s standard, he is completely united with him. There is no separation, no guilt between him and his father. So he was in a position to pay for others &#8211; and he did. With the price that separation from God (from the source of life) means: with death &#8211; on the cross! But this death had no right to keep him, because he could not bring any charges against him. He was the first person to return from the dead and is now reunited with God.<strong> He offers this payment to every person who wants to return to God<\/strong> and live according to God&#8217;s good standards (which are described in the <strong>Bible<\/strong> ). The community of these people is called Christians.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the kind of <strong>community<\/strong> we are. Together with millions of Christians around the world, we believe in salvation and reunification through Jesus&#8217; actions on the cross. We live this faith together and invite everyone to ask us about it, discuss it with us, drop by and explore God&#8217;s plans for our lives.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Bible<\/strong> is the source that God has given us to get to know him again. We do not claim to have a specific or solely correct doctrine, but we are learners in relationship with <strong>Jesus, the Spirit of God and the Father<\/strong> himself. We see room in Deggendorf for a modern community of the center. Our vision is not only a contemporary church service, but also a church life that meets the people of the city outside of Sunday. There are already various free churches in Deggendorf and we have held talks with them. Our goal is good cooperation with the churches in the city &#8211; we have also met with the two regional churches. Each local congregation organizes its own worship service and congregational life within the framework of its local culture. As an evangelical free church, we belong to the Federation of Evangelical Free Churches (Baptists) along with 800 other congregations in Germany.  Baptists have existed worldwide for around 400 years. There are currently 50 million Christians among them.
